When & Where

Racing every 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month, casual sailing every Friday morning. Sailing starts at 10am.
Our venue is the Wamberal Lagoon, Rememberance Drive, Wamberal.

Membership

If you wish to become a member of BWRYS Inc please get in touch with one of our committee members. Membership is $40 annually, including the NSWRYA fees.

Code of Behaviour

In BWRYS Inc we support, endorse and abide by the NSWRYA Code of Behaviour.

Classes

We are all sailing Soling 1 Meter, a kit-based, low cost, one design boat suitable for all abilities. Other classes are welcomed as many of our members do own and race 10R and others.

The Kit

For a boat to be recognized by the NSW Radio Yachting Association Inc.as a Soling One Meter Class boat, it must be built from a kit obtained from an approved manufacturer. Victor Model Products is currently an approved manufacturer.

Kits are readily available and can be obtained by contacting the club on rcsoling@gmail.com

How to

If you plan to build your own boat from the kit, advice, assistance and help is not far away. Just contact anyone during our sailing/racing days and they will be glad to help. Additionally, we will endeavour to add a series of tips and instructive videos on this site.

Some aspects of  construction for local situations require deviations from the manufacturers assembly process thus, it is advisable to seek assistance and advice from constructors with experience building Soling One Meter class boats. A number of BWRYS Inc club members are available to assist new members with boat construction.

Second Hand Boats

Prospective BWRYS Inc club members may be able to secure a second hand Soling One Meter boat from our club, dependent on availability. Second hand boats are relatively scarce so availability and price will be provided upon request in person at our regular Friday and Sunday sailing days.

The Rules

We race according to the Rules of NSWRYA as can be seen here.
